Distribution: Occurring on both sides of the Cascades crest in Washington, though more common east of the crest; Alaska to Oregon and Nevada, east across most of North America to the Atlantic Coast.

Habitat: Forest understory and edge, open meadows.

Flowers: May-August

Origin: Native

Growth Duration: Perennial

Conservation Status: Not of concern

Pollination: Bees, flies, wasps
